Rush Information

Probationary class of 2010 has finally been initiated!

Interested in Joining? The rush period starts every fall and lasts throughout the months of November through February. To get started look for publications for information meetings or contact the Fraternal Education Officer.

Requirements to Join

1. Love Music
2. Have a GPA above 2.0.
3. Be available for required probationary events such as Weekly Meetings and Activities.
4. Be a Male. Women interested in joining a music organization should contact Sigma Alpha Iota.

NOTE: You do not have to be a music major to be eligible.

Phi Mu Alpha is NOT an exclusive or elitist club. It is for those men who enjoy music, have a good heart, and seek to enrich their lives.

Rush Activities

Cookouts & Haunted House

This year the Delta Iota Chapter hosted a series of Rush Events where prospective members could come and hang out with some of the brothers. In the past we have went bowling, had cook-outs, and went to a haunted house.

Info Meetings

Every year, there is at least one formal information night where prospective members can come and meet current members. This occurs typically in the Dalton Center Green Room. At this time, a prospective member will then fill out an application to join.

Bid Process

To become a probationary member, a prospective member simply fills out an information sheet and turns it in to the Fraternal Education Officer. The chapter then votes whether or not to give a bid to each applicant. After the bids have been voted on, eligible prospectives will receive a bid, the prospective member will then receive further instructions and details. The prospective member then becomes a probationary member and enters the probationary process.
